Karttikeya Mangalam
CEO & Founder
Research & Mentorship Experience
He has held research roles at Google AI (contributing to the Bard team), Facebook AI Research, and Stanford Vision Lab. During his research career, he has worked with several reputed AI researchers internationally—Prof. Yoshua Bengio (MILA, Canada), Prof. Pascal Fua (EPFL, Switzerland), and Prof. Yoichi Sato (UTokyo, Japan).
He also actively engages in mentorship and has advised over 10+ master's & undergraduate students in AI during his PhD at UC Berkeley.
Vision & Mission
In July 2023, Karttikeya founded SigIQ.ai with the vision that in the future, the cost of personalized learning would be lowered down to the cost of tutoring and has since been on the mission to democratize access to personalized learning for everyone, globally.
Academic Background
Karttikeya holds a Ph.D. in AI from UC Berkeley, where he was mentored by artificial intelligence pioneer, Prof. Jitendra Malik. Earlier, Karttikeya dropped out of Stanford to pursue a startup. And even earlier yet, he graduated summa cum laude in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
Research Publications & Impact
He has authored over 40 research papers published in almost every top AI conference across — vision, NLP, speech & robotics, amassing over 6,000+ citations, including several orals and two best paper mentions. These milestones underscore his commitment to advancing impactful AI research & applications.

Kurt Keutzer

Current Role & Research Focus
Kurt is currently a Professor in the Berkeley AI Research Lab at UC Berkeley where his group of twenty researchers continues to focus on making LLMs and Agents computationally efficient for applications hosted both in the cloud and on mobile clients.
Startup & Investment Success
Kurt has served as an investor and advisor to over 30 startup companies, helping them navigate from ideation to profitable exit, including two successful IPOs. He co-founded DeepScale in 2015 which was later acquired by Tesla. He is currently an active investor and advisor focusing on AI startups.
Industry Leadership & Experience
Kurt’s career spans all facets of academic and industrial life. He began his career at Bell Lab’s prestigious Research Labs in Murray Hill, NJ, and his research ultimately led him to join Synopsys, where he became CTO and SVP of Research. He then joined the EECS Department at UC Berkeley as a Professor.
Publications & Impact
Kurt has published six books and over 300 refereed articles. His pioneering work in EDA received many honors with one paper recognized by the DAC as “The Most Influential Paper of the 1980’s". For the last 20 years Kurt has focused on making ML and AI computationally efficient. Kurt is especially known for his work on the “Squeeze” family of Neural Nets that pioneered bringing Neural Nets to mobile and edge applications.
