In an ideal scenario, every student would have their own private tutor. Benjamin Bloom proved the value of private tutors in a study known as "Bloom's two-sigma problem". He observed that students performed two standard deviations better on standardized tests when they received private tutoring, compared to traditional lecture style learning. Students across the board perform far better when given access to personalized 1:1 learning. Unfortunately, access to traditional private tutoring is constrained by the students resources. Tutors are often prohibitively expensive and only available at select times.
